Fiber-optic clutch FOSC-450 presents the new modification of the world famous family of fiber-optic clutches FOSC-400. Before the construction of clutch the technology of the gel hermetic sealing of the introductions of optical cable is used.

Fiber-optic clutch FOSC-450 is developed for the use with any conditions of the padding of fiber-optic cable (air, on the support, before ground, before the conduit run or the cable manholes) and is applicable for the diverse variants of the inosculation of cable (straight, splitting, repair, transit configurations).

An essential difference in the new development FOSC-450 consists besides the guarantee of hermetic sealing the introduced beside the clutch fiber cable with the use of gel technology instead of that shrinked by heating. The universal block of gel hermetic sealing is technologically adapted to size and configuration of cable, it does not require special tool for the installation or auxiliary accessories (tapes, paste).


FOSC-450 has the following functional and technical characteristics:

• Blind design.
• There exists before three sizes (BS, before D).
• Hermetic sealing base and cap of clutch is carried out by the crow and rubber packing ring.
• Are included 6 round ports before the composition of the universal block of hermetic sealing, made before the collection with the profile from the sealing gel established at the plant. This block permits implementation of repeated remounting of clutch without the replacement of its gel components. The possibility of introduction and hermetically sealing several fiber cables beside one port with the use of a special complete set is provided.
• Cassettes of the type FOSC ensure convenience in the inosculation and exclude mechanical action beyond the fibers of adjacent cassettes.
• It is developed for the basic types of the fiber-optic cables: the free piling of fibers before the tube, the free piling of fibers before the figured/central core, strip configuration.
• Possibility of storing the operational reserve of fibers or transit optical modules before the clutch.
