OT -2-5/[Ii], OT -2-5/[Im] relate down the generation of the digital optical instruments, intended for the measurement with the high accuracy of the power of optical radiation before the optical fibers.
Tester consists of two instruments:
- the source of optical radiation OT -2-5/[Ii] with the high stability;
- the gauge of optical power OT -2-5/[Im], which makes it possible with the high accuracy to take the measurements of optical power and damping before the fiber-optic lines of communications.
The gauge of optical power OT -2-5/[Im] has convenient interface and wide set of the service functions, which include:
- storage of the results of measurements before the energy-independent memory with the tying to the time and the date of conducting measurements;
- control besides the gauge of power with the aid of Personal Computer;
- readout and the survey of the results of measurements on Personal Computer;
- calendar and the hours of real time;
- the contrast control of indicator;
- the indication of the state of storage battery;
- automatic turning off.

The source of optical radiation OT -2-5/[Ii] has two operating modes: continuous and pulse with the frequency of modulation 2 kHz.
The gauge of optical power OT -2-5/[Im] has three basic wavelength ranges of the optical radiation 850, 1310 and 1550 adopted nm. For increasing the accuracy of measurement it is possible to change the value of the wavelength of the measured optical radiation at the point of ±40 nm with a step of 5 nm near the selected central wavelength.
Instruments are executed before the small durable housings, which correspond to standard IP65.
